They also needed to better understand publishing trends for public sector buying across England. They needed a data partner who could help them obtain the data source, and reconcile the thousands of available tender documents.
We partnered with the core team to identify entities who fulfilled their statutory duty and published on Contracts Finder and those who did not.
Spend Network provided access to our API including our data augments that identify 'duplicates'. This data and augments exactly met the departments requirements to answer their questions and to improve the compliance of the UK Government in procurement.
Using this data the government monitored and assisted the government to improve its publishing and hit its target for openness. As a direct result of this, UK Government Procurement not only hit the 90% target set by the National Action Plan but exceeded it to over 95% (98% at the time of writing).
